About Us

The idea of Painted Porch was inspired by afternoons Peggy Rodriguez spent with close friends in her three-season porch. While the women enjoyed wine and each other’s company, the friends raved about the warmth and beauty in Peggy’s porch space. These cherished afternoons led Peggy to the realization that she not only wanted her own home to be filled with beauty and one-of-a-kind pieces, but she wanted to help others achieve this in their homes as well. Thus, the birth of Painted Porch.

Peggy built a beautiful store filled with stylish décor, one-of-a-kind gifts, restyled vintage furniture, and more. And she passed along this inspiration to current owner, Hannah VanderHorst. Hannah grew up in an old Victorian home watching her mom refinish and refurbish furniture most of her life. She soon realized she shared a similar passion. She can be found most evenings in her backyard or garage turning another piece of history into something beautiful. And she thoroughly enjoys sharing that beauty with you.
